pontocerebellar fibers

 

Definition: fibers arising from the nuclei of the basilar pons and primarily crossing the midline (there is a modest uncrossed projection), entering the cerebellum through the middle cerebellar peduncle and terminating as mossy fibers in the cerebellar cortex.
