polyostotic fibrous dysplasia


Definition: the occurrence of lesions of fibrous dysplasia in multiple bones, commonly on one side of the body; may occur with areas of pigmentation and endocrine dysfunction (McCune-Albright syndrome).

Synonym(s): multifocal osteitis fibrosa, osteitis fibrosa disseminata
