poly(A) polymerase


Definition: an enzyme that catalyzes the formation of a poly(adenylic acid) sequence; polynucleotide adenylyltransferase; it catalyzes the reaction of a polynucleotide with ATP to produce pyrophosphate and a new polynucleotide one residue longer.
