Definition: origin: as second major branch of postcommunicating part (A2 segment) of anterior cerebral artery (pericallosal artery); distribition: medial aspect of frontal lobe, approaching frontal pole, of cerebrum.

Synonym(s): arteria polaris frontalisTA, frontopolar artery
