phosphocholine cytidylyltransferase

 

Definition: an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of phosphocholine with CTP to form pyrophosphate and CDP-choline; the rate-limiting step of lecithin biosynthesis; the cytosolic form of the enzyme is inactive (a phosphorylated form of the enzyme).
