Phlebovirus

Pronunciation: fleb'o-vi'rus

Definition: A genus of the family Bunyaviridae that contains more than 40 viruses that cross-react; transmitted by arthropods primarily of the genus Phlebotomus; causes sandfly fever and Rift Valley fever.
