Philippine hemorrhagic fever


Definition: severe arbovirus infection with hemorrhagic manifestations, considerable mortality, probably due to mosquito-borne dengue virus; seen in tropic and subtropic urban areas of southeast Asia, the South Pacific, Australia, Central and South America, and in the Caribbean islands.
