Pronunciation: per'i-limf

Definition: The fluid contained within the osseus labyrinth, surrounding and protecting the membranous labyrinth; perilymph resembles extracellular fluid in composition (sodium salts are the predominant positive electrolyte) and, through the perilymphatic duct, is in continuity with cerebrospinal fluid.
