Pronunciation: kan-trel'

Definition: a congenital defect involving a cleft lower sternum, an anterior diaphragmatic defect, absence of the parietal pericardium, a connected or separate omphalocele, and a major cardiac anomaly, most often tetralogy of Fallot and left ventricular diverticulum.
