paracentral lobule

 

Definition: a division of the medial aspect of the cerebral cortex, lying above the cingulate sulcus and bounded by the paracentral sulcus in front and the marginal part of the cingulate sulcus behind; this lobule is formed by the anterior paracentral gyrus and the posterior paracentral gyrus.
