Paget cells

Pronunciation: paj′ĕt

Definition: relatively large, neoplastic epithelial cells (carcinoma cells) with hyperchromatic nuclei and abundant palely staining cytoplasm; in Paget disease of the breast, such cells occur in neoplastic epithelium in the ducts and in the epidermis of the nipple, areola, and adjacent skin.
