Paas disease

Pronunciation: pahz

Definition: obsolete eponymic term for a familial skeletal deformation marked by coxa valga, double patella, shortening of the middle and terminal phalanges of fingers and toes, deformities of the elbows, scoliosis, and spondylitis deformans of the lumbar vertebrae; all these manifestations may be unilateral or bilateral.
