Pronunciation: o'ver-graft'ing

Definition: Placing one more more additional grafts over a previously healed graft from which the epithelium has been removed by excision, dermabrasion, or laser, to strengthen and thicken a previously grafted area; usually performed to improve contour or stabilize an inadequately healed service.
