Definition: a conjunctival inflammation occurring within the first 10 days of life; causative agents include Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Chlamydia trachomatis.

Synonym(s): blennorrhea neonatorum, infantile purulent conjunctivitis, neonatal conjunctivitis
