mouse encephalomyelitis virus

 

Definition: a virus of the genus Enterovirus, family Picornaviridae, normally associated with inapparent infections and found in the intestinal tracts of infected mice, occasionally causing mouse encephalomyelitis in experimentally inoculated susceptible mice.

Synonym(s): mouse poliomyelitis virus, Theiler virus
