Definition:

  1. white plaques of hyalinized fibrous tissue situated in the epicardium overlying the right ventricle of the heart where it is not covered by lung;
  2. white macroscopic areas in the omentum, due to accumulation of macrophages and lymphocytes.

Synonym(s): soldier's patches
