metanephric vesicle

 

Definition: the ends of the arched collecting tubules induce the formation of clusters of mesenchymal cells in the metanephric mass of mesoderm; lumina develop in the cell clusters forming metanephric vesicles, which elongate to form metanephric tubules. As these renal tubules develop, their proximal ends are invaginated by glomeruli.
