Definition: branches of vessels or nerves distributed to the coverings of the brain and spinal cord. Terminologia Anatomica lists meningeal branches (rami meningei) of the cavernous and cerebral parts of internal carotid artery, mandibular nerve, maxillary nerve, occipital artery, spinal nerve, vagus (nerve), and vertebral artery.
