membranous ampullae of the semicircular ducts

 

Definition: a nearly spheric enlargement of one end of each of the three semicircular ducts, anterior, posterior, and lateral, where they connect with the utricle. Each contains a neuroepithelial ampullary crest (crista ampullaris).
