Müller maneuver

Pronunciation: mul'er

Definition: after a forced expiration, an attempt at inspiration is made with closed mouth and nose or closed glottis, whereby the negative pressure in the chest and lungs is made very subatmospheric; the reverse of Valsalva maneuver.
