Mönckeberg arteriosclerosis

Pronunciation: mērn′kĕ-bĕrg

Definition: arterial sclerosis involving the peripheral arteries, especially of the legs of older people, with deposition of calcium in the medial coat (pipestem arteries) but with little or no encroachment on the lumen.
