longitudinal vertebral venous sinus

 

Definition: large, plexiform veins forming portions of the anterior internal vertebral venous plexus lying on the posterior surfaces of the vertebral bodies on either side of the posterior longitudinal ligament.

Synonym(s): sinus vertebrales longitudinales
