longitudinal vertebral venous sinus

Definition

large, plexiform veins forming portions of the anterior internal vertebral venous plexus lying on the posterior surfaces of the vertebral bodies on either side of the posterior longitudinal ligament.

Synonym(s): sinus vertebrales longitudinales
