longitudinal pontine fasciculi

 

Definition: the massive bundles of corticofugal fibers passing longitudinally through the anterior (ventral) part of pons; they are composed of corticoreticular, tectopontine, corticopontine, corticonuclear (corticobulbar), and corticospinal fibers.

Synonym(s): fasciculi longitudinales pontis, longitudinal pontine bundles
