Definition: branches to the tongue. Terminologia Anatomica lists lingual branches of 1) accessory nerve, (rami linguales nervi accessori [TA]); 2) facial nerve (inconstant) (ramus linguales nervi facialis [TA]); 3) lingual nerve (rami linguales nervi lingualis [TA]); 4) glossopharyngeal nerve (rami linguales nervi glossopharyngei [TA]).
