laryngeal cavity

 

Definition: a cavity that is continuous above with the pharynx at the level of the aryepiglottic folds (laryngeal inlet) and extends downward through the rima glottidis to the infraglottic space.

Synonym(s): cavitas laryngisTA, cavity of larynx, cavum laryngis
