Jacquemin test

Pronunciation: zhah-kuh-min[h]'

Definition: a test for phenol; to the suspected fluid an equal amount of aniline is added, and, after thorough admixture, a little solution of sodium hypochlorite; if phenol is present the fluid becomes blue.
