inferior terminal (cortical) branches of middle cerebral artery


Definition: part of the M2 segment of the middle cerebral artery, arising distal to the M1 segment (main trunk) deep in the lateral sulcus between temporal lobe and insula; with the superior terminal (cortical) branches (trunks) and the insular arteries.
