inferior hypogastric (nerve) plexus
Definition: one of the bilateral mixed (sympathetic, parasympathetic) autonomic plexus in the pelvis distributed to the pelvic viscera; it receives the hypogastric nerves and the pelvic splanchnic nerves and conveys visceral afferent fibers.
