hydroa vacciniforme


Definition: a recurrent eruption of erythema evolving to umbilicated bullae, occurring on exposure to the sun and affecting chiefly male children with resolution before adult life. In severe cases, hand and face deformities and corneal opacity may develop.

Synonym(s): hydroa aestivale, hydroa puerorum
