Hill-Sachs defect

 

Definition: an irregularity seen in the head of the humerus following anterior dislocation of the shoulder; caused by impaction of posterolateral portion of the head of the humerus against the anterior edge of the glenoid.

Synonym(s): Hill-Sachs lesion
