Pronunciation: har'ma-lin

Definition: An amine oxidase inhibitor and a central nervous system stimulant; obtained from the seeds of Peganum harmala (family Zygophyllaceae) and from Banisteria caapi (family Malpighiaceae); has been used in parkinsonism.
