Harada syndrome

Pronunciation: hah-rah'da

Definition: bilateral retinal edema, uveitis, choroiditis, and retinal detachment, with temporary or permanent deafness, graying of the hair (poliosis), and alopecia; related to the Vogt-Koyanagi syndrome and sympathetic ophthalmia.

Synonym(s): Harada disease, uveoencephalitis, uveomeningitis syndrome
