Pronunciation: gi'ne-ko-mas'te-a, jin'e-; -mas'te

Definition: Excessive development of the male mammary glands, due mainly to ductal proliferation with periductal edema; frequently secondary to increased estrogen levels, but mild gynecomastia may occur in normal adolescence.
