grass staggers

 

Definition: occurs in adult sheep and cattle as a result of hypomagnesemia. Lush pasture grasses are not balanced in the Ca:Mg ratio and especially if females are lactating, it can lead to acute onset of severe signs, such as tetany or convulsions.
