gluteal lines

 

Definition: one of three rough curved lines on the outer surface of the ala of the ilium: anterior gluteal line, inferior gluteal line, and posterior gluteal line; the two areas bounded by these give attachment to the gluteus minimus muscle below and gluteus medius above.
