foramen of superior recess of omental bursa
Definition: a foramen produced by two folds of peritoneum: that covering the common/proper hepatic artery on the right and that covering the left gastric artery on the left, which encroach upon and constrict the omental bursa; it forms a communication between the superior recess of the lesser sac that lies above it and the remainder of the omental bursa.
