fetal hydantoin syndrome

 

Definition: a syndrome resulting from maternal ingestion of hydantoin analogue (phenytoin), characterized by growth deficiency, mental deficiency, dysmorphic facies, cleft palate and/or lip, cardiac defects, and abnormal genitalia.
