Definition: A family of four related receptor tyrosine kinases homologous to the erythroblastic leukemia viral oncogene from which their name is derived. The four members include ErbB-1, also known as epidermal growth factor receptor, ErbB-2, also known as HER2, ErbB-3, also known as HER3, and ErbB-4, also known as HER4.
