epidemic polyarthritis


Definition: a mild febrile illness of humans in Australia characterized by polyarthralgia and rash, caused by the Ross River virus, a member of the family Togaviridae, and transmitted by mosquitoes.

Synonym(s): epidemic exanthema, Murray Valley rash, Ross River fever
