Enterobacter aerogenes


Definition: a bacterial species found in water, soil, sewage, dairy products, and the feces of humans and other animals. Organisms previously identified as motile strains of Aerobacter aerogenes are now placed in this species.

Synonym(s): Klebsiella mobilis
