Pronunciation: ek'to-me-rog'o-ne

Definition: The production of merozoites in the asexual reproduction of sporozoan parasites at the surface of schizonts and of blastophores, or by infolding into the schizont, as contrasted with endomerogony; ectomerogony has been observed in various species of Eimeria.
