DNA nucleotidylexotransferase

 

Definition: an enzyme that can catalyze the addition of a nucleotide, presented as a nucleoside triphosphate, on a DNA or similar polydeoxynucleotide; has been used in DNA recombination studies to add nucleotides to form homopolymer tails.

Synonym(s): terminal addition enzyme, terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase
