desmoplastic medulloblastoma

 

Definition: subtype of medulloblastoma with a biphasic pattern of compact sheets of undifferentiated cells alternating with islands of more loosely cohesive cells, generally occurs in adolescence and young adults and has a better prognosis than the usual medulloblastoma.
