Definition: a personality disorder resulting from continuing subbipolar mood swings that shape a person's cognition, attitudes, and identity, coloring the whole of the individual's make-up, psychic life, and behavior to others. alternating periods of elation and depression, less severe than seen in bipolar disorder, usually not related to external circumstances.
