Pronunciation: si'klo-fil'inz

Definition: Intracellular proteins associated with heat shock proteins and other molecules (e.g., glucocorticoid receptors). Cyclophilins mediate immunosuppressive actions of antirejection drugs (e.g., cyclosporine and FK-506).
