choroid plexus

 

Definition: a vascular proliferation or fringe of the tela choroidea in the third, fourth, and lateral cerebral ventricles; it secretes cerebrospinal fluid, thereby regulating to some degree the intraventricular pressure.

Synonym(s): plexus choroideus, tela vasculosa
