cholinergic blockade

 

Definition:

  1. inhibition by a drug of nerve impulse transmission at autonomic ganglionic synapses (ganglionic blockade), at postganglionic parasympathetic effector cells (by atropine), and at myoneural junctions (myoneural blockade);
  2. inhibition of a cholinergic agent.
