central ossifying fibroma
Definition: a painless, slow-growing, expansile, sharply circumscribed benign fibroosseus tumor of the jaws that is derived from cells of the periodontal ligament; presents initially on radiographs as a radiolucency that becomes progressively more opaque as it matures.
