Definition: a paraffin block, suitable for sectioning, staining, and microscopic study, prepared from any suspension of cells in fluid (aspirates or washings); cells are concentrated by centrifugation or filtering, and the resulting aggregation is processed as if it were a solid specimen of tissue.
