Definition: a membrane protein present on some germinal-center B cells, mitogen-activated B cells, and monocytes that serves as a B-cell activator; expressed in anaplastic large cell lymphomas, on Reed-Sternberg cells, and on Epstein Barr virus–transformed B cells.
